After receiving a B.A. in economics from Waseda University in 1990, joined the Nippon Credit Bank (current Aozora Bank). Responsible for the management of Japanese equity, U.S. equity、domestic and international bonds, and warrants. Joined Mercury Asset Management Japan (current Merrill Lynch Investors Managers) in 1993. Besides responsibilities towards Japanese equity management for major pension clients, as senior fund manager, was responsible for the research of retail, materials, domestic industries, and automobile sectors. Joined Prudential Portfolio Managers Japan Ltd.(current PCA Asset Management, a subsidiary company of Prudential U.K.）. As the head of the Japanese equities team, supervised portfolio management, research and trading while also managing a Japanese equity fund. Founded Myojo Asset Management in 2003.
